Terra Varney's Biography

My Story!

I started playing volleyball when I was 9 years old. I have played every position except for Middle. I started getting scouted for college when I was in 7th grade for libero, outside, and setting positions.

I played high school at Vista Murrieta High School where we won the southwestern league three years in a row and made it to the quarter finals of CIF in 2010 and the semi-finals in 2011. I earned all-League, All-Valley, and All-CIF selection honors.

For club volleyball, I started playing at a  local when I was 9 years old and then went on to play at Saddleback valley volleyball club when I was 14. We won the volleyball festival when I was on their top 15s team, and we placed in the top 10 multiple years in a row.

I was offered a scholarship for a libero position at the University of Idaho. I started as a freshman in every match in the 2013 season. For my senior season, I led Idaho with a career-high 517 digs. I finished my career with 1,477 career digs, second in school history. I ended the season 57th in career digs among all active DI players. I finished my career with 77 career double-figure dig matches, second in school history.

This is my fourth year coaching at Forza, and I am excited to continue to share my passion for the game with my players!
In 2018/2019 Terra assisted on the 15UA and helped them earn a silver medal at Nationals. She was an integral part of the season's big success. We look forward to Terra's career as a high-level coach at Forza1.
