Born in San Clemente CA. Parents, Coreen and Chris Graff both raised in San Clemente and attended San Clemente High School. Sister Amber Graff attended Temescal Canyon and just graduated from Cal State Fullerton. Moved to Canyon Lake, Ca when I was 10 and attended Temescal Canyon High School.
Grew up playing soccer and softball and was introduced to volleyball as an eighth grader when I started my first year of club volleyball at age 14. Joined the volleyball team for Temescal Canyon High School and continued to play club volleyball. I was a four year starter for Varsity Volleyball and also made the varsity track team for high jump and long jump. I set a school record in track for high jump my freshman and only year on the track team. As sophomore I received all-league and all-county honors for volleyball. I was Captain of the volleyball team my Junior and Senior year. My junior year I received 1st Team All-League. As a senior, I lead my team to a perfect 10-0 league record for the first time in school history. I set a school record with 31 kills in a single match. I was named All-League MVP, All CIF Division I, and 1st Team All Valley. I graduated in 2009 with a 3.7 GPA.
I committed as a junior for a full ride scholarship to play Division I volleyball for the 2 time gold medalist, Jeff Stork at Cal State University Northridge. I was a 4 season starter for CSUN’s volleyball team. As a freshman I made the Big West All-Freshman team. My sophomore year I had to red-shirt due to a shoulder injury that required extensive surgery. Although my shoulder was never quite the same, I was able to return and continue as a starter for the CSUN volleyball team. I finished my collegiate career at CSUN for most sets played in a college volleyball career. I graduated with Academic honors earning my BS in Kinesiology.
I am currently a personal trainer and I have been for the past 4 years. Here is a little tell on why I am a personal trainer: I started with a personal trainer in high school to increase my strength, prevent injuries, and to help me achieve my goals as a Division I collegiate volleyball player. I attribute much of my success in high school athletics not only to my coaches but also to my personal trainer. As a collegiate athlete I worked with numerous trainers in season and out of season. As a high school, club, collegiate athlete; I experienced many different injuries over the years. My training helped me recover from many of those injuries, but with my knowledge and experience that I have now, I believe proper training could have helped me avoid some of those injuries. The trainers I worked with helped me achieve my goals and impacted my life in a positive way. I would like to help impact other people’s lives in a positive way and help them reach whatever personal goals they may have. I have chosen a career that gives me the opportunity to accomplish this.
Although I have been primarily working as a personal training for the past few years, I believe this passion I have and values coincide with coaching. I am now the assistant varsity volleyball coach at Temescal Canyon High School. I have also been in charge of their strength and conditioning program. I continue to personal train people as well. My clients for training are in large variety. From all different ages, skill sets, sports, disabilities, and injuries. I take pride in being able to adapt my training to each individual needs. I enjoy working with many different types of people.
